[users at i-scream] usefulness of page_stats wrt disk_stats

Hello,

when I run saidar I notice that 'Paging out' always
seems to equal the total of all disk writes. The same
holds for 'Paging in' and disk reads. At least on
Linux.

Doesn't this make Paging stats pretty useless?

Are there situations conceivable where the values
would in fact be different, and informative?

thanks,
Ron Arts
